Job summary

EY is seeking a Manager – Financial Services Technology Risk based in Sydney to lead technology risk engagements for major financial institutions. You will drive assurance programs, advise on APRA regulatory agendas, and expand the practice across Australia with a focus on AI-enabled assurance and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in Technology Risk, Cyber assurance, or related fields.
Experience with IT risk frameworks and regulatory standard assessments.
Knowledge of APRA CPS 234 and CPS 230 is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field as a minimum requirement.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee technology risk engagements for audit and non‑audit clients.
Oversee regulatory reviews and maturity assessments aligned to industry frameworks.
Lead delivery of technology and cyber control assurance services (e.g., GS007, ASAE 3150, SOC 1/2).
Advise on complex regulatory agendas, including APRA CPS 234 and CPS 230.
Guide clients on risks from third‑party providers.
Grow client relationships and expand the practice locally and nationally.
Coach and uplift team members to foster a high‑performing culture.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in the practice.
Lead external audits of technology environments and stay ahead of cyber/AI/Cloud risks.
