Job summary

Victorian Ombudsman is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Technology and Enablement to lead major digital and technology initiatives across the public sector. You will partner with business owners, sponsors and delivery teams to deliver accessible, sustainable solutions.

The role requires proven experience managing end-to-end technology-enabled change, governance, procurement, and change management, with a focus on value-for-money and user-centered design within a complex government environment.

Qualifications

• End-to-end project management experience in complex public-sector or large-scale technology programs.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and persuasive, executive-level communication.

Responsibilities

• leading complex technology projects within approved scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk parameters;
• developing options, business cases, delivery plans and executive recommendations;
• establishing governance, assurance, project controls and transparent reporting;
• managing project finances, procurement, suppliers, contracts and commercial risks;
• engaging affected users and staff to shape practical and inclusive solutions;
• leading change-impact assessment, readiness, communications, training and adoption;
• measuring service, operational, adoption and benefit outcomes;
• coordinating testing, implementation, early-life support and transition into business-as-usual.
