Job summary

KBR is seeking an experienced Systems Integration Engineer to support a major Defence modernisation program in Australia. You will lead integration, verification and test activities within a complex system-of-systems environment, ensuring governance and compliance across the capability lifecycle.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, a Bachelor of Engineering, and active NV1 security clearance. Australian citizenship is a must for this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, Communications, Systems, ICT, Networking or related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience in Systems Engineering within complex Defence or Defence‑industry environments.
• Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements development, design, integration, verification and acceptance.
• Demonstrated experience supporting large Defence acquisition or sustainment programs.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Must have Australian Citizenship & active NV1 AGSVA Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activities associated with integration, verification and test capability development.
• Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation across the capability lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership and engineering input into acquisition and delivery contracts.
• Support the development of Government submissions and technical decision‑making activities.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops to define user, system and operational requirements.
• Review and manage engineering changes in accordance with Defence engineering governance frameworks.
• Support Test & Evaluation activities, technical certification and acceptance processes.
• Provide systems engineering advice to ensure capability outcomes are delivered safely, effectively and in accordance with Defence standards.
