Shield AI's Australian Engineering Team in Melbourne seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to design and integrate autonomous solutions within the Hivemind Vision and Mission Autonomy technology stacks. You will capture end-to-end requirements and support architecture across perception, autonomy, and mission workflows.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in systems engineering, a STEM degree, strong communication, and experience with MBSE and system modeling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of systems engineering experience with a Bachelor's in a STEM field (or equivalent)
• Experience with MBSE and system-modeling workflows
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams and schematics

Responsibilities

• Capture end-to-end system requirements for Hivemind Vision Systems and integrated autonomy solutions
• Support design and development of system architectures across perception, autonomy, and mission workflows
• Use MBSE tools to document, maintain and extend architecture models
• Develop SysML models focusing on decomposition, interfaces, and system behavior
• Collaborate with SMEs to improve tooling and integration between models and codebases
• Support evolution of the systems engineering process across the Australian team
• Engage with product management, program management, engineering and business development teams
• Report status, risks, accomplishments and expectations to senior leadership
