Job summary

Shield AI invites a seasoned Systems Engineer to join the Australian Engineering Team, contributing to design and integration across the Hivemind Vision and autonomy stacks. You will help mature capabilities for key customer programs and internal R&D efforts.

You will collaborate with program leadership, system design, and development teams to decompose solutions, define architecture, and document models using SysML/UML while advancing MBSE practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years Systems Engineering experience with a STEM degree.
• Experience with MBSE and system‑modeling workflows.
• Strong communication, written and verbal.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Capture end‑to‑end system requirements for Hivemind Vision and autonomy solutions.
• Support design and development of architectures spanning perception and mission workflows.
• Use MBSE tools to document and extend architecture models for new integrations.
• Develop and maintain models using UML, SysML, and UPDM.
• Create SysML models focusing on decomposition, flows, interfaces, and behavior.
• Collaborate with SMEs to improve tooling and connections between models and codebases.
• Support evolution of the systems engineering process in the Australian team.
• Engage cross‑functionally with product, program management, engineering, and BD teams.
• Report status, risks, and milestones to senior leadership.
