Job summary

Talent Corp is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support a major Defence aviation program based in Newcastle, NSW. You will develop technical specifications, software requirements and systems engineering documentation across aircraft platforms, simulators and LVC environments.

You will work with Defence stakeholders and industry partners to support capability development, procurement and requirements management, ensuring clear traceability and robust technical deliverables.

Qualifications

• Active NV1 security clearance required.
• Extensive systems engineering experience in defence/aerospace domains.
• Proven ability to produce detailed software requirements and specifications.
• Strong understanding of traceability, verification and requirements management.
• Excellent writing, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop FPS, software requirements and traceable engineering docs.
• Define technical requirements for aircraft systems, simulators and LVC environments.
• Prepare DIDs and supporting documentation for ASDEFCON and procurement.
• Maintain requirements artefacts in systems engineering databases.
• Support tender evaluations, vendor reviews and Defence activities.
• Engage with stakeholders and present findings to senior personnel.
