Quality People seeks an experienced Systems Engineer for a 7+ month contract in Williamtown, NSW. The role focuses on software aspects of a major Defence aviation capability, including FPS development for aircraft platforms, simulators, and LVC training systems.

Must have NV1 security clearance and a proven ability to draft ASDEFCON DIDs, evaluate tenders, and manage vendor requirements. Defence background and experience with complex training solutions are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in developing Function and Performance Specifications (FPS) and artefacts for complex platforms, training solutions, or maintenance interfaces.
• Experience drafting ASDEFCON Data Item Descriptions (DIDs), evaluating tenders, conducting vendor requirements reviews, and populating systems engineering databases.
• Experience in Defence acquisition, specifically aircraft acquisition and capability development is highly desirable.

Skills and Experience required includes:
