Job summary

AVYON Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Systems Engineers for permanent, Canberra-based roles. The team works directly with clients, delivering systems engineering across the capability lifecycle on Defence programs.

Candidates should hold 8+ years of hands-on experience and an existing or reinstatable NV1 or higher clearance. You will operate in a small, skilled team environment with real ownership of outcomes, and support ongoing capability work for Defence platforms while upholding AVYON values

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of hands-on systems engineering experience across the capability lifecycle.
• Strong ability to engage with stakeholders across Defence, APS and industry.
• Experience across requirements, architecture, design, integration and verification.

Responsibilities

• Work on Defence capability programs with direct access to clients and ownership of outcomes.
• Contribute to meaningful defence programs as part of a Canberra-based permanent team.

About you:

• Systems Engineering qualifications and 8+ years' experience across the capability lifecycle
• Existing or reinstatable Australian Defence clearance (NV1 or higher)
• Hands-on systems engineering experience across requirements, architecture, design, integration and verification
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills across ADF, APS and industry
• Multi-disciplinary skills that complement systems engineering, such as project management, risk management, or test and evaluation
