Job summary

GoSourcing supports a Federal Government client in Melbourne/Canberra seeking an APS6 Systems Analyst to translate business requirements into ICT system specifications. You will work with Architects, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Developers and Testers to deliver simple, transparent services for everyday Australians.

The role requires knowledge of the software development lifecycle, design, analysis and documentation of software systems and adherence to cyber security policies.

Qualifications

• Feasibility assessment: Level 4 (SFIA) selects relevant feasibility approaches and options.
• Requirements definition and management: Level 4 (SFIA) scopes and prioritises requirements and ensures traceability.
• Software design: Level 4 (SFIA) designs complex software applications, models and reviews designs.
• Systems design: Level 4 (SFIA) designs system components and creates detailed design specifications.

Responsibilities

• perform detailed analysis and evaluation of business processes and requirements
• create solution designs and implement solutions to meet business needs
• create and maintain solution documents
• support daily operations and monitor performance of business solutions
• adhere to delivery and support methodologies and contribute ideas for improvement
• perform detailed technical application assessments considering feasibility, resource effort, risks and benefits
• conduct testing activities such as test planning, execution coverage reviews and defect management
• collaborate with stakeholders to define tasks, resolve issues and ensure timely implementation of projects
• undertake project quality management tasks such as peer and quality reviews of specifications, design and testing documents
• review research, process models and documentation of other staff, providing guidance and feedback
• resolve or elevate issues as required and suggest alternative approaches and solutions
• manage the life cycle of changes and improvements to systems
