Job summary

Ampersand Ltd in Canberra is seeking a Solutions Architect / Technical ICT Analyst for a 12-month contract, hybrid in-office and remote work. You will analyse public-safety ICT environments, shape strategic technical specifications, and advise executives on technology uplift within a Canberra-based government directorate.

The role requires expert analysis, experience with Azure, Microsoft Power Platform, Windows Server-hosted systems, Unix and Oracle, and TOGAF or equivalent frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of expert experience in Technical/Solutions/Business Analysis.
• Experience with Azure, Power Platform, Windows Server, Unix and Oracle.
• TOGAF v9 or equivalent qualification desirable.
• Formal certification in Technical Business Analysis/Architecture encouraged.
• ICT degree or qualification desirable; ITIL qualifications advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyse and accurately document the current state of technical systems and the ESA-specific ICT environment
• Lead development of strategic technical and business specifications and designs aligned to organisational objectives
• Advise executives and senior decision-makers on technology uplift and advancement
• Establish technical and business frameworks, fostering a mature, design-led approach to project and product delivery
• Collaborate proactively with Program and Project Managers to align priorities, expectations and resourcing
• Track technical and business market trends to inform advice and guidance
• Support staff development through procedures and guides
• Provide staff mentorship (this role does not involve direct people management)
