Job summary

GoSourcing is recruiting an APS6-level Systems Analyst for a Federal Government client in Australia. The role translates business requirements into technical specifications, designs ICT solutions, and collaborates with Architects, Scrum Masters, PO and Testers to deliver simple, transparent services for Australians.

The contract starts 01 Oct 2026 for 12 months with extension up to 24 months. Location of work includes Canberra, Melbourne and Adelaide with hybrid on-site work.

Qualifications

• Feasibility assessment: SFIA Level 4 and option shortlisting, stakeholder input for business cases.
• Requirements definition and management: Scope, traceability and formal sign-off of requirements.
• Software design: Designing and prototyping software components to meet specs and non-functional requirements.
• Systems design: Create design views and detailed specs for construction of systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed analysis and evaluation of business processes and requirements.
• Create solution designs and implement solutions to meet business needs.
• Create and maintain solution documents.
• Support daily operations and monitor performance of business solutions.
• Adhere to delivery and support methodologies and contribute ideas for improvement.
• Conduct technical application assessments considering feasibility, resources, risks and benefits.
• Conduct testing activities such as test planning and defect management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define tasks and ensure timely implementation of projects.
• Undertake project quality management tasks and reviews of specifications, design and testing documents.
• Review research and documentation and provide guidance and feedback.
