Job summary

Based in Sydney CBD, the Reserve Bank of Australia seeks an IT Systems Administrator to oversee on-premises infrastructure within the Transition Team. You will manage Windows Server environments, Red Hat Linux, AD/DNS/DHCP, and automation tools to ensure reliable production readiness.

The role requires collaboration with project teams and vendors, with a strong focus on security, vulnerability management, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Solid experience administering Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 in enterprise environments with sound Redhat Linux expertise.
• Experience working across project delivery and BAU/operations teams, ensuring solutions transition smoothly into production support.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and domain services.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to identify risks and resolve technical issues effectively.
• An understanding of vulnerability management, security and industry compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of configuration automation tools re; Puppet.
• Strong stakeholder and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with project teams, technical specialists, vendors and operational teams.
• Scripting proficiency in PowerShell and/or Bash for automation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and reliability on our server fleet within IT-Systems Services, Transition Team.
• Collaborate with Project and BAU teams, product vendors, and technical teams to deliver project outputs.
• Maintain patching, backups, monitoring, and incident/change/process controls (ITIL concepts welcomed).
