Job summary

Reserve Bank of Australia is seeking experienced Systems Services Engineers to support the CoreMod Server Decommissioning work stream in Bella Vista, NSW. You will lead decommissioning across virtual and physical servers, storage, and related infrastructure while ensuring migrations and readiness are complete.

You will coordinate with Networks, Security, Storage, IT Operations and Asset Management to address dependencies, maintain backup and archival requirements, and uphold change governance

Qualifications

• Experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi in enterprise environments.
• Administration of Windows Server and RHEL systems.
• Knowledge of Cisco UCS, HPE compute platforms, storage environments, and datacentre infra.

Responsibilities

• Lead decommissioning of virtual/physical servers and infrastructure appliances across legacy environments.
• Validate application migration completion, business readiness and dependencies before retirement.
• Ensure adherence to server decommissioning SOPs and procedures; coordinate compute, storage, and network decommissioning activities.
• Prepare implementation and rollback plans, risk/impact assessments, and CAB submissions.
• Maintain CMDB, asset records, and support procedures throughout lifecycle.
