Job summary

XPT Software is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Systems Administrator) to lead and execute core infrastructure tasks in Canberra. The role focuses on deploying containerized and VM-based analysis tools, managing cloud and on-prem environments, and driving best practices across Linux systems administration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Linux systems administration across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Deep expertise in VMware and VMware Aria, including design, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Strong networking knowledge, including VLANs, DNS, load balancers, and firewall rules.
• Experience deploying sandboxed (isolated) environments.
• Experience deploying developer and analyst tooling, including IDE environments, package management, and access controls.
• Ability to create and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures.

• Support deployment of Kubernetes and VM-based malware analysis tools across different cloud environments.
• Experience with cloud services and virtualisation, and how these relate to application deployment for virtual machine, Kubernetes, and codeless applications.
• Familiarity with containerisation principles including Docker and Kubernetes
