Job summary

XPT Software Australia Pty Ltd in Canberra is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Systems Administrator) to join our security-focused team. You will design, deploy and operate Linux-based systems across on‑prem and cloud environments.

Key duties include VMware and Aria lifecycle management, Docker/Kubernetes containerization, network configuration, sandboxed environments, tooling deployment, and rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Linux systems administration across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Deep expertise in VMware and VMware Aria, including design, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Strong networking knowledge, including VLANs, DNS, load balancers, and firewall rules.
• Experience deploying and configuring sandboxed (or isolated) environments.
• Experience deploying developer and analyst tooling, including IDE environments, package management, and access controls.
• Ability to create and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures

Responsibilities

• Support deployment of Kubernetes and VM-based malware analysis tools across different cloud environments.

Key duties and responsibilities

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Systems Administrator) will perform the following duties andresponsibilities in addition to the expected EL1 Senior Infrastructure Engineer standards: Support deployment of Kubernetes and VM-based malware analysis tools across differentcloud environments.
