Job summary

Tweed Shire Council in NSW seeks a Senior Registered Surveyor to be the council's principal surveying expert, guiding cadastral, engineering and land development matters while leading surveying and geomatic services across infrastructure and community projects.

You will mentor a team of surveying professionals, shape capability and culture, influence budgets and strategy, and collaborate with internal teams, government agencies, developers and consultants to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Surveying Degree and NSW Registered Surveyor.
Extensive property boundary surveying and land title experience.
Experience leading surveying teams and workforce planning.
Strong knowledge of engineering surveying and GIS/spatial data.
Familiarity with subdivision processes and development approvals.
Proven ability to resolve complex surveying issues.

Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of surveying, property and GIS services for infrastructure projects.
Provide expert advice on boundary determinations and land titles.
Serve as main contact for internal stakeholders and external consultants.
Oversee the property portfolio, conveyancing and development matters.
Manage geospatial data systems and support informed decisions.
Mentor staff and contribute to budget planning and strategic direction.
