Job summary

Lake Macquarie City Council – Newcastle NSW is seeking a Senior Engineering Surveyor to lead and oversee cadastral, engineering and topographic surveying projects. You will provide technical leadership, mentor staff and ensure high-quality outputs across Lake Macquarie and surrounding region.

You will manage fieldwork and office calculations, engage with stakeholders, and contribute to the delivery of city infrastructure and property programs while staying current with surveying technologies.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Surveying or equivalent.
• Extensive surveying experience including cadastral property surveys.
• Experience with modern surveying equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee cadastral, engineering and topographic surveying projects.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to survey staff.
• Undertake fieldwork and office-based calculations, analysis and plan preparation.
• Manage stakeholder consultation with internal and external partners.
• Review survey data and deliverables for quality.
• Contribute to delivery of Council's construction and property programs.
• Maintain knowledge of surveying technologies and software.
• Support procurement activities within City Projects
