Job summary

HOBAN Recruitment is partnering with a Federal Government organisation to recruit APS6 level Support Needs Assessors across multiple NSW locations including Bankstown, Liverpool, Parramatta, Penrith, Wollongong, Lismore, Gosford, Newcastle, Port Macquarie and Tamworth.

The role involves conducting comprehensive participant assessments, analysing evidence, and preparing objective reports to inform planning decisions.

Qualifications

• Recognised tertiary qualification in one of the listed allied health disciplines or nursing/education for equivalent role.
• Evidence of qualifications must be attached to your application.
• Experience conducting support needs assessments or similar person-centred assessments.
• Excellent interviewing, report writing and evidence analysis abilities.
• Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally safe and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct support needs assessments through participant interviews, guided conversations and evidence gathering.
• Analyse and interpret clinical, functional and supporting evidence to inform assessment outcomes.
• Prepare high-quality, accurate and objective assessment reports.
• Communicate assessment processes and outcomes clearly with participants, families and stakeholders.
• Apply legislation, policies and operational guidelines when making evidence-based decisions.
• Escalate complex matters and risks where required.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve coordinated participant outcomes.
• Utilise digital systems and case management tools to accurately record assessment information.
• Support team capability through knowledge sharing, mentoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
