Job summary

Maitland City Council is seeking a Subdivision & Development Engineer or Senior Subdivision & Development Engineer to assess Development Applications, approve design plans and inspect construction for council assets. The Senior role includes leadership and mentoring responsibilities and driving continuous improvement.

The role is based in the City Planning team, requires a Civil Engineering degree, and involves office-based assessment plus onsite inspections with stakeholders including

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is required.
Experience in subdivision construction and development engineering, and DA assessments.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
Ability to lead and mentor at a senior level.

Responsibilities

Assess civil engineering aspects of Development Applications.
Approve engineering construction design plans.
Conduct construction compliance inspections.
Oversee acceptance of roads, drainage and recreation assets.
Provide leadership and mentorship at senior level.
