Senior Student Experience Coordinator - Mobility

$109,277 - $117,331 Pro-Rata + 17% superannuation.

About the Role

In this role, you will support the Academic Lead, and Business Manager, Industry and Community Hub to deliver initiatives that strengthen student experience and engagement across the faculty. You will help coordinate a range of student mobility opportunities, such as short-term mobility programs, study tours, social impact challenges and international internships. A key part of the role will be building strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, international institutions, industry and alumni to grow and improve these opportunities for students.

Your responsibilities will include
  • Coordinate and deliver initiatives that promote student mobility and participation in student experience programs.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with faculty and University staff, agents, international institutions, industry partners and alumni to support mobility opportunities.
  • Develop proposals for new programs and projects in consultation with the Academic Lead, Industry and Community Hub.
  • Implement, review and improve student mobility programs and promotional activities to support a positive student experience.
  • Identify and manage risks associated with student mobility programs, including student placements.
  • Respond to, resolve or elevate issues that may affect program delivery, including critical incidents in line with University requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate information sessions and events for students interested in mobility opportunities.
  • Research and benchmark good practice in student mobility and student experience, both nationally and internationally.
  • Promote the faculty’s student experience activities to encourage student participation.
  • Supervise casual staff who support student experience activities and events, as required.
  • Work collaboratively with teams such as University Marketing, Curtin Global and Student Lifecycle Experience where relevant.
  • Undertake other activities consistent with the scope and responsibilities of the role.
Who we are looking for (Criteria)
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to coordinate initiatives, manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes and resources.
  • Ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a range of stakeholders, partners and colleagues.
  • Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with students, clients and staff from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise work, manage deadlines and respond to the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop practical, innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work independently with limited direction, while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
Role Requirements
  • As this is a fixed‑term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
  • Part‑time 0.6 FTE, 3 days per week. Preferred days are Monday, Tuesday and Friday, though days may be negotiated.
  • Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction.
