Job summary

John Holland Group is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Structures to lead the structural design, analysis and construction on Inland Rail NSW. You will review designs, manage budgets, schedules and deliverables while guiding engineers and coordinating with design consultants and contractors.

The role requires a civil/structural engineering degree, strong communication, proven delivery of large work packages on Australian civil projects, and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• Proven experience delivering large work packages.
• Experience managing engineers on large-scale civil or structural projects.
• Experience delivering Australian civil projects.
• Strong budget, systems and stakeholder management.
• Excellent safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert knowledge in structural engineering for design, analysis and construction.
• Review and approve structural designs to codes and project specs.
• Develop project plans, schedules and methodologies for structural phases.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and safety protocols.
• Manage resources to optimize efficiency in construction of structures.
• Identify, assess and mitigate structural risks.
• Prepare and present reports on project status and outcomes.
