Job summary

Wood is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer in Perth to support its Mining & Mineral group to meet the demand in critical metals projects. The role will involve leading design work, coordinating schedules, and mentoring junior engineers within a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of relevant experience.
• A tertiary degree from a recognised institute.
• Ability to supervise, manage, motivate and mentor technical professionals.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for inter-departmental and external interactions.
• Ability to execute and oversee project scope, budget and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Establishes detailed designs and performance specifications for components, systems, processes.
• Plans successive steps and solves problems with general guidance.
• Responsible for meeting discipline cost and schedule requirements in production of deliverables, coordinates own work schedule, and prepares progress reports.
• Develops a range of engineering deliverables, including specifications, calculations, reports, technical requisitions and others.
• Reviews vendor documents and participates in design reviews.
• Provide technical input and support to proposals as required.
