Job summary

Interquip is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Sustaining Capital team in Perth, WA, delivering structural engineering for brownfield mining and minerals processing projects and supporting Tier 1 mining clients across Western Australia.

You’ll design and check structural steelwork, reinforced concrete, and foundations, working on conveyors, transfer stations, crushers, chutes, and related structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Significant mining/minerals processing or heavy industrial project experience.
• Experience in EPCM or engineering consultancy environments.
• Strong structural steel and reinforced concrete design capability.
• Experience with materials handling infrastructure, especially conveyors.
• Sound knowledge of Australian structural design standards.
• Ability to work independently, perform checks, and solve complex problems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural engineering and design for brownfield mining and minerals processing projects.
• Design and check steel, concrete, and foundations.
• Work on conveyors, transfer stations, crushing and screening structures, chutes, pipe racks, platforms.
• Assess existing structures and develop remediation and strengthening solutions.
• Provide engineering support through design, fabrication, construction; review models and drawings.
• Respond to technical queries and guide other designers and contractors.
• Review colleagues' work and provide technical guidance.
