Job summary

Primero is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Engineering Team at our new Perth head office. You will work across projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring design compliance, budget discipline, and schedule adherence in mining and mineral processing environments.

You will bring 6+ years in steel and concrete design, proficiency with Space Gass and Strand7, and strong communication skills to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ structural engineering experience in steel and concrete design for mining/mineral processing.
• Thorough knowledge of relevant industry standards and codes of practice.
• Proficient with Space Gass and Strand7 software.
• Ability to quickly understand project and client requirements.
• Experience drafting technical docs, drawings, schedules, and models.
• Team player with cross-disciplinary collaboration and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure design products comply with the Design Procedure and regulations.
• Deliver designs that meet budget and schedule constraints.
• Assure designs are fit for purpose including constructability and maintainability.
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary project teams on ongoing projects.
