Job summary

BG&E Minerals is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team. You will undertake detailed analysis and design for safety, constructability and compliance, assess materials during construction, and advise on construction methodologies with site teams.

Strong communication with contractors and a proactive, hands-on approach are essential for delivering quality solutions in a dynamic environment. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• BEng or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• 5-10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Solid understanding of Australian standards and construction safety principles.
• Skilled in structural analysis software with ability to produce clear, accurate documentation.
• Proven experience developing practical, buildable solutions under site constraints.
• Strong communication and coordination with site teams and contractors.
• Proactive, hands-on approach to solving engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

• Undertake detailed analysis and structural design for safety and constructability.
• Assess behaviour and performance of materials during construction.
• Develop construction methodologies and sequencing plans with site teams.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and consultants to deliver coordinated solutions.
• Review technical reports, drawings and design calculations for quality.
• Prepare/assist with tendering and winning of work.
• Liaise with clients, authorities and stakeholders for project delivery.
• Apply project management principles to meet deliverables.
• Prepare and review technical reports.
• Identify and manage technical and commercial risks for BG&E and clients.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and participate in workshops and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, standards and corporate requirements.
• Represent BG&E Minerals and instil client confidence.
