Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Mackay Industrial Structures Team. Based in Mackay, you will contribute to projects that make a difference and work with a team that embraces challenges.

You will complete structural design, asset integrity, field delivery and site-based remediation, and conduct inspections at industrial and mining sites, delivering practical solutions. Regional site visits and strong client communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in structural or civil engineering.
• Experience in structural design and asset integrity.
• Ability to work independently with sound engineering judgement, especially in the field.
• RPEQ preferred or willing to obtain.
• Comfort working in the field on operational sites and during shutdown campaigns.
• Strong client communication and safety awareness.
• Willingness to live and work in Mackay with regional site visits.
• Current driver licence and regional driving comfort.
• Industrial, mining, ports, or heavy infrastructure experience beneficial.
• Consultancy experience useful but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Complete structural design and asset integrity tasks.
• Perform field inspections and defect assessments.
• Develop remediation and repair solutions for on-site implementation.
• Support shutdown campaigns and regional site work.
• Prepare and review deliverables and documentation.
