Job summary

Aurecon Group is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join the Mackay Industrial Structures Team. You will lead structural design tasks, focus on asset integrity, and perform field inspections on operational industrial and mining sites, delivering practical repair solutions with site and client interaction.

You will support shutdown campaigns, provide technical oversight to less experienced engineers, and prepare deliverables and documentation to ensure safe, constructible outcomes on site in

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in structural or civil engineering.
• Experience in structural design, asset integrity, inspections, remediation, brownfield industrial work.
• Ability to work with a high level of technical independence and sound engineering judgement.
• RPEQ preferred, or willingness to obtain it.
• Comfort working in the field, on operational sites and during shutdown campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Complete structural design and engineering tasks with a focus on asset integrity and field delivery.
• Conduct field inspections, defect assessments and condition reviews across industrial and mining sites.
• Develop practical structural remediation and repair solutions for site implementation.
• Support shutdown campaigns and site work with technical oversight of less experienced engineers.
• Prepare and review structural deliverables, calculations, repair solutions and documentation.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and site teams to deliver safe, practical engineering solutions.
