Job summary

KBR Australia is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the analysis, design and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects. You will mentor engineers, review calculations, and drive compliance with Australian Standards on complex programs.

With 7–10 years’ experience, Chartered Engineer status or eligible, and proficiency in Microstran/SpaceGass, you will build strong client relationships and manage multi-disciplinary teams to deliver outstanding outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities across diverse engineering teams.
• Experience delivering complex infrastructure, industrial, water, transport and building projects.
• Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and structural design principles (concrete, steel, foundations).
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as Microstran and SpaceGass; Engineers Australia eligible for CPEng/registration.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis, design and delivery of complex infrastructure, industrial, water, transport and building projects.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to engineers, graduates, designers and drafters.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, engineering reports, specifications and technical documentation.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk to ensure successful delivery.
• Build strong client relationships and support proposals and business development.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and provide construction support, inspections and technical reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement and compliance with Australian Standards, safety and quality requirements.
