Job summary

WSP Adelaide is seeking a Project Engineer, Structures to contribute to defence projects and lead design, delivery and tender work across multi-year packages. The role supports timely, quality delivery of structural engineering in line with budgets and standards.

You will liaise with local clients, manage stakeholders, and provide technical guidance within a national multidisciplinary team. A civil/structural background with relevant Australian experience is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor to Masters' level degree (Civil/Structural Engineering)
  • 5-8 years industry experience on building projects within Australia
  • Eligibility to obtain Australian Defence full security clearance is essential
  • Solid proficiency in all-round structural engineering design including post-tensioned concrete
  • Track record of effective cross-discipline project delivery
  • Naturally Curious, Passionate, Adaptable & ready to do the kind of work the world needs

  • Work on iconic projects.
  • Project lead work across the design, delivery and tender phases for multi-year/packaged work for turnkey projects.
  • Ensure timely and quality of delivery for project and structural engineering work in support of relevant technical, commercial and regulatory standards - and in alignment with schedules and budgets.
  • Handle ongoing communication and highly effective professional relationships with local clients.
  • Manage effective stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Provide sound technical/delivery guidance for the team.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting.

About You
  • Bachelor to Masters' level degree (Civil/Structural Engineering)
  • 5-8 years industry experience on building projects within Australia, in the commercial, retail, defence, health or education sectors.
  • Eligibility to obtain Australian Defence full security clearance is essential - only eligible to Australian Citizens (Permanent Resident, NZ Citizens & Visa holders are not eligible).
  • Solid proficiency in all-round structural engineering design including post-tensioned concrete;
  • Track record of effective cross-discipline project delivery
  • Naturally Curious, Passionate, Adaptable & ready to do the kind of work the world needs
