Job summary

Robert Bird Group (RBG) is seeking a Senior Structural Technician/Drafter (temporary works) to join our Adelaide team. The role focuses on drafting and delivery of buildings and infrastructure projects using AutoCAD and Revit, ensuring compliance with Australian standards and client specifications.

You will work closely with the engineering group, manage drawing packages within tight schedules, and contribute to high-quality, buildable designs across South Australia.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary degree in Civil/Structural Design or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ senior structural drafting experience in an engineering design consultancy.
• Strong AutoCAD and Revit skills; knowledge of Australian codes.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and delivery of buildings and infrastructure projects using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Ensuring drafting tasks meet technical standards and client requirements.
• Delivering projects within tight timescales while maintaining quality.
• Liaising with engineering teams, stakeholders and clients for specifications.

The Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Structural Technician/Drafter (temporary works) to join our Adelaide team. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and production of various buildings and infrastructure projects across South Australia.

Your duties will include, but will not be limited to, the following: Drafting and delivery of buildings and infrastructure projects using AutoCAD and Revit Ensuring that drafting and drawing review tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and Robert Bird Group Delivering projects under strict timescales, whilst ensuring quality performance meets with Robert Bird Group objectives Liaising with the engineering team, external stakeholders, and clients for project specifications and details

About You

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil/Structural Design or equivalent 5+ years’ senior structural drafting experience working for an engineering design consultancy Strong understanding of AutoCAD and Revit Proven experience in delivering temporary works projects Strong understanding of Australian codes and standards Able to work on own initiative and in a team environment Full working rights
