Job summary

The University of Melbourne in Parkville is seeking a senior strategic leader to translate strategy into coordinated initiatives across the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. You will collaborate with schools, institutes and external partners to drive health, research and education outcomes.

You will lead delivery of strategy, develop priorities, manage executive projects and build cross-functional relationships across a large university ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant tertiary qualification, or bring equivalent education and experience in complex organisations.
• Demonstrate experience in strategy development and project execution within large or matrixed environments.
• Apply strong organisational and project management skills to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines.
• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, preparing high-quality briefings, reports and presentations.
• Build effective relationships with diverse stakeholders, negotiating priorities and influencing across boundaries.
• Bring sound judgement, initiative, problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail to strategic work.

Responsibilities

• Lead priority strategic initiatives, including planning, coordination and execution under the guidance of the Director of Strategy and External Relations
• Develop and articulate faculty strategic priorities, producing clear briefings, plans, presentations and supporting documentation
• Provide project and coordination support for executive priorities, governance forums and leadership decision-making
• Coordinate stakeholders across Schools, disciplines and functions to align activities and minimise duplication
• Design and embed simple tools and processes that improve visibility, accountability and delivery of strategic work
