Job summary

Arena Consultants are seeking a Senior Warehouse Storeperson to oversee daily operations at the Matraville warehouse and workshop. The role combines forklift work, stock control, and occasional on-site delivery in a hands-on team environment.

The ideal candidate will have a forklift licence, strong organisational skills, and a proactive approach to safety and efficiency, with the ability to work independently or with the team.

Qualifications

• Current forklift licence, driver's licence and White Card.
• Experience in warehouse/workshop or similar hands-on environment.
• Experience loading, securing and handling bulky materials.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer skills for stock records.
• Sound WHS knowledge and practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries with a forklift and check materials for accuracy and damage.
• Manage stock receipts, locations and dispatch records.
• Keep warehouse and workshop organised, materials labelled and stored.
• Prepare materials and equipment for projects, including basic assembly.
• Load and deliver materials to site, ensuring secure transport.
• Assist with manual handling, site prep and installation support.
• Support basic mechanical tasks under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, safe and efficient warehouse and loading area.

Key Responsibilities

• Unloading incoming deliveries using a forklift and checking materials for accuracy and damage
• Managing stock receipts, storage locations and dispatch records
• Maintaining an organised warehouse and workshop, ensuring materials are correctly labelled and stored
• Preparing materials and equipment for upcoming projects, including basic assembly work
• Loading, securing and delivering materials and equipment to site
• Assisting with manual handling, site preparation and general installation support as required
• Supporting basic mechanical and technical tasks under supervision
• Maintaining a clean, safe and efficient warehouse, workshop and loading area

About You

We're looking for a practical, organised individual with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach.

Essential requirements:

• Current forklift licence, driver's licence and White Card are essential
• Previous experience in a warehouse, workshop, construction or similar hands‑on environment
• Experience loading, securing and handling bulky or heavy materials
• Good physical fitness and willingness to undertake manual handling tasks
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Basic computer skills for stock and inventory records
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Highly regarded:

• Previous experience in a senior warehouse or team‑leading role
• Trade or mechanical background
• Working at Heights ticket or First Aid certificate
