Job summary

Coles Group is seeking a Head of Store Operations to lead a substantial store portfolio and a senior leadership team. You will translate strategy into execution, driving superior customer and commercial outcomes across Coles’ network.

The role emphasizes significant change leadership, enterprise collaboration, and people development to build capability for future executive opportunities within Coles Group.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in a large, complex and geographically dispersed organisation.
• Strong commercial acumen with meaningful P&L accountability.
• Experience leading through other senior leaders and influencing at enterprise level.
• Career breadth beyond operational delivery into commercial, transformation, customer, digital/ecommerce, strategy or central functions.
• Proven track record of delivering significant change while maintaining strong business performance.

Responsibilities

• Own commercial and operational performance across a significant store portfolio, including sales, cost and P&L outcomes.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of senior operational leaders.
• Create a strong performance and accountability culture with an unwavering focus on customers and team.
• Lead through significant change and translate enterprise transformation into sustainable outcomes across stores.
• Connect stores with the broader Coles business, aligning commercial, customer, digital and operational priorities.
• Use data, customer insight and commercial judgement to identify opportunities and make informed decisions.
• Build leadership capability and strengthen succession planning for future senior roles.
• Contribute beyond portfolio as a senior leader across Coles.
