Job summary

Jowett Motor Group is seeking an experienced Senior Stock Controller for our Brighton dealership, supporting Honda, Geely and Chery brands. The six-month contract runs Monday–Friday during standard business hours with immediate start.

You will own end-to-end stock processes, manage stock swaps and ensure timely delivery while supporting a team member. The role requires a minimum of two years in the automotive industry, with experience in stock control and dealership administration.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' automotive industry experience.
• Experience in vehicle stock control or dealership administration.
• Experience with Honda, Geely or Chery preferred.
• Strong understanding of dealership operations and inventory processes.
• VicRoads experience essential.
• Experience with dealership management systems and MS Office.

Jowett Motor Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Stock Controller to join our Brighton dealership team, supporting our Honda, Geely and Chery brands.

This is a six-month contract opportunity to provide temporary coverage, with an immediate start required. We are looking for someone with a minimum of two years of automotive industry experience who can hit the ground running, take ownership of vehicle stock control and ensure our inventory processes run smoothly and efficiently.

About the role

In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end vehicle stock process, ensuring vehicles are ordered, tracked, received, prepared and ready for delivery within required timeframes. You will manage dealership stock swaps and vehicle transfers, maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate with sales teams and other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient process.

You will also oversee and support one team member who will assist with day-to-day stock administration and coordination, ensuring tasks are prioritised and completed accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Manage vehicle orders and monitor incoming stock across Honda, Geely and Chery.
• Coordinate vehicle preparation to ensure vehicles are ready for delivery within agreed timeframes.
• Manage dealership stock swaps, vehicle transfers and inter-dealership movements.
• Maintain accurate vehicle inventory records, stock costs and dealership management system information.
• Monitor vehicle arrivals, stock availability and delivery schedules, communicating updates to relevant teams.
• Ensure all vehicle documentation, registrations and stock paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
• Coordinate with sales, finance, service and vehicle preparation teams to resolve operational issues.

About You

• To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of two years' experience in the automotive industry.
• Previous experience in vehicle stock control or dealership administration.
• Experience working with Honda, Geely or Chery would be highly regarded.
• A strong understanding of dealership operations and vehicle inventory processes.
• Previous VicRoads experience is essential.
• Experience with Pentana and/or Titan DMS would be highly regarded.
• Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dealership management systems.
• A proactive, hands‑on approach and the confidence to work independently.
• The ability to provide guidance and support to a team member.
