Jowett Motor Group’s Brighton Honda, Geely and Chery dealership in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Senior Stock Controller to oversee end-to-end vehicle stock, ordering, receiving, preparation and delivery within deadlines. You will manage stock swaps and transfers and maintain accurate inventory records while coordinating with sales and service teams.

• A minimum of two years’ experience in the automotive industry.
• Previous experience in vehicle stock control or dealership administration.
• Experience working with Honda, Geely or Chery would be highly regarded.
• A strong understanding of dealership operations and vehicle inventory processes.
• Previous VicRoads experience is essential.
• Experience with Pentana and/or Titan DMS would be highly regarded.
• Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across multiple departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dealership management systems.
• A proactive, hands-on approach and the confidence to work independently.
• The ability to provide guidance and support to a team member.

Job description

Jowett Motor Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Stock Controller to join our Brighton dealership team, supporting our Honda, Geely and Chery brands.

This is a six-month contract opportunity to provide temporary coverage, with an immediate start required. We are looking for someone with a minimum of two years of automotive industry experience who can hit the ground running, take ownership of vehicle stock control and ensure our inventory processes run smoothly and efficiently.

About the role

In this role, you will oversee the end-to-end vehicle stock process, ensuring vehicles are ordered, tracked, received, prepared and ready for delivery within required timeframes. You will manage dealership stock swaps and vehicle transfers, maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate with sales teams and other departments to ensure a smooth and efficient process.

You will also oversee and support one team member who will assist with day-to-day stock administration and coordination, ensuring tasks are prioritised and completed accurately.

Key responsibilities

Manage vehicle orders and monitor incoming stock across Honda, Geely and Chery.

Coordinate vehicle preparation to ensure vehicles are ready for delivery within agreed timeframes.

Manage dealership stock swaps, vehicle transfers and inter-dealership movements.

Maintain accurate vehicle inventory records, stock costs and dealership management system information.

Monitor vehicle arrivals, stock availability and delivery schedules, communicating updates to relevant teams.

Ensure all vehicle documentation, registrations and stock paperwork are completed accurately and on time.

Coordinate with sales, finance, service and vehicle preparation teams to resolve operational issues.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A minimum of two years’ experience in the automotive industry.

Previous experience in vehicle stock control or dealership administration.

Experience working with Honda, Geely or Chery would be highly regarded.

A strong understanding of dealership operations and vehicle inventory processes.

Previous VicRoads experience is essential.

Experience with Pentana and/or Titan DMS would be highly regarded.
