Job summary

Mondaa Group Pty Ltd is seeking experienced steel fixers to join our permanent, full-time NSW team. You will measure, read plans, cut, bend and fix welded wire mesh into concrete forms and position steel components for pours on large-scale projects.

Ideal candidates hold AQF Certificate II/III, 2 years of steel fixing and post-tensioning experience, White Card, a valid driving licence, and a positive, team-focused attitude. Competitive salary and opportunities available.

Qualifications

AQF Certificate II or III in the relevant field is required.
Steel fixing, post-tensioning and construction experience: 2 years (Required).
Current Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card) is required.
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations in construction sites.
Positive, can-do attitude and ability to work in an inclusive team.
Valid Driving Licence and reliable transport is desirable.

Responsibilities

Carry out measurements and calculations.
Read and interpret plans and specifications.
Cut, bend and fit welded wire mesh into concrete areas to be mesh-reinforced.
Fix mesh and reinforced steel into position in formwork for concrete pours.
Set up winches and rig equipment to raise and position girders, plates, columns and other steel units.
Use steelfixing tools and equipment; assist other trades as needed.
