Job summary

Glencore Australia’s MRM division seeks a senior stakeholder and social performance professional in Darwin. You will shape the stakeholder engagement strategy, build trusted relationships with Traditional Owners, government and communities, and lead meetings and briefings that advance MRM’s social licence to operate in the Gulf region and NT.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in stakeholder engagement, social performance or related fields.
• Experience with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities or remote communities.
• Ability to manage sensitive stakeholder matters with diverse groups.
• Strong knowledge of stakeholder engagement principles and social performance.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver the stakeholder engagement strategy to underpin MRM’s reputation.
• Build trusted relationships with Traditional Owners, community leaders and government.
• Lead stakeholder meetings and government briefings with agendas and follow-up papers.
• Support delivery of commitments with Traditional Owners and local communities.
• Lead sponsorships and community events showcasing MRM’s Territory commitment.
• Prepare executive briefings, speeches and correspondence for senior leadership.
• Oversee social investment portfolio from assessment to reporting.
• Contribute to Glencore’s Social Performance and Human Rights standards.
