Glencore Australia in the Northern Territory is seeking an Administration Officer to be the backbone of the CSP team. You will handle compliance reporting, stakeholder engagement logistics and travel arrangements, supporting senior leaders and coordinating events.
The role requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication and the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team at a large mining operation.
No two weeks look the same in this role. One day you may be coordinating a community event with local stakeholders; the next, organising travel logistics for senior leaders; the next, shaping the digital communications of one of Australia's most significant zinc‑lead operations. This variety, and the impact behind it, defines life in our Communities & Social Performance (CSP) team.
Located in the Gulf of Carpentaria — 900 km southeast of Darwin and 64 km from Borroloola — MRM is a world‑class open‑cut zinc‑lead‑silver operation with an approved mine life through to 2038. From here, product is transported to the Bing Bong loading facility and shipped globally, contributing to essential commodities used in mobility, infrastructure and communications worldwide.
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administration Officer to be the operational backbone of our CSP team. Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Stakeholder Engagement and the Social Performance Superintendent, you will be trusted with compliance reporting, community engagement logistics and the stakeholder relationships that sustain our social license to operate.
We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace and welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. We strongly encourage applications from Veterans, First Nations peoples, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and people from culturally and linguistically diverse communities. We believe that embracing diversity strengthens our organisation and creates a supportive environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to succeed.
At MRM, we support the Northern Territory first, and Territorian applicants or those prepared to relocate. Glencore employees applying for this role may be asked to discuss this with their Supervisor or Manager prior to an interview taking place.
