Santos Limited in Brisbane is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to provide specialist process engineering support, safety and governance across Midstream & Energy Solutions assets. You’ll ensure reliable, compliant outcomes across the asset lifecycle while reporting to the Team Leader Discipline Engineering.

You will lead technical reviews, mentor graduates and collaborate with operations, maintenance and projects to drive value and deliver safe, efficient processes at pace.

Qualifications

• Ten or more years of experience in a process engineering role supporting operations and projects in oil and gas, petrochemical or a similar industry.
• Experience in major hazard facility or refining environments (preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of relevant technical standards and the regulatory framework for the oil and gas industry.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and communicate effectively in a corporate engineering environment.
• Experience mentoring and coaching engineers at graduate or early-career level.
• Eligible for RPEQ and chartered engineering status, with a Bachelor's Degree in engineering.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with process optimisation, operations and maintenance teams to identify and mitigate equipment vulnerabilities, reliability risks and obsolescence challenges.
• Review and assure contractor and vendor engineering deliverables against legislative, corporate and industry standards.
• Support investigations into discipline-related incidents, failures and performance issues, providing technical analysis and recommendations.
• Fulfil the role of Change Advisor within the Management of Change process and provide technical guidance on proposed changes.
• Ensure process safety, asset integrity and personnel safety considerations are embedded throughout project development, design and execution.
• Mentor, coach and develop graduate and early-career engineers to build discipline capability.
• Contribute to discipline engineering planning, forecasting and annual budget development.
• Maintain compliance with the Santos Management System, Delegation of Authority and all applicable company policies and standards.

What you’ll do:

Based in our Brisbane office, the Senior Process Engineer will provide specialist process engineering support, technical assurance and discipline governance across Midstream & Energy Solutions assets and projects.
