Job summary

Foreign Trade Bank of Cambodia is seeking a Senior Staff to support the Digital Application Development Unit. You will lead development, testing, and protection of source code for digital banking apps, and drive UI/UX design for both existing and new software.

You will coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, oversee development plans, and report progress to management. Strong programming and DevOps knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

Job description

This role is to assist Unit Manager in managing the development, testing, management, and protection of source code for digital banking applications; leading UI/UX design for both existing and new applications; identifying and implementing solutions for application development; coordinating communication with internal and external stakeholders; and arrange meetings related to digital application development.

Main Duties

• Monitor the software development cycle, including creation, testing, coordination, handover to product managers, deployment, and security enhancements across the entire software;
• Ensure strict control and protection of the software source code, preventing unauthorized modification, copying, replacement, reproduction, or sharing;
• Review and monitor existing software in phases to identify weaknesses, make improvements, and correct issues to enhance performance and provide an optimal user experience. This includes designing UX/UI for both new and legacy software to meet user needs;
• Monitor software development tasks to ensure timely implementation and completion, while providing support to subordinate engineers or programmers in resolving issues during the development phase;
• Create, and supervise development plans in collaboration with both internal and external partners, representing the internal development team;
• Participate in cross-team meetings to ensure consistency in the development process and provide progress reports on the overall status and any issues to the management team;
• Perform additional tasks/projects assigned by manager.

Skills/ Experiences

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other related fields.
• At least 3 years in digital Banking sector, management and software development fields.
• Proficiency in programming Languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, Swift, Kotlin, etc.;
• Experience with mobile app development platforms like iOS (Swift), Android (Java/Kotlin) or Hybrid App such as Flutter, React Native etc;
• Knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React and Redux) and back-end frameworks (PHP, Node.js, Django, Ruby on Rails);
• Understanding of database systems like SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle, etc.;
• Proficiency in using version control systems like Git for collaborative development;
• Testing and Debugging: Ability to write and execute test cases, debug code, and ensure software quality;
• Familiarity with Agile practices such as Scrum or Kanban for efficient project management;
• Knowledge of DevOps tools like Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, JBoss for continuous integration and deployment.
