Job summary

Mantel Group is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to own reliability for managed services across AWS, Azure, and GCP, automating work that shouldn’t require human intervention. You’ll push back on bad architecture, shape AI to respond faster, and help Mantel build repeatable cloud patterns for clients.

You’ll participate in a structured on-call rotation and collaborate with infra experts to improve detection, resolution, and incident response using AI-driven tooling.

Qualifications

• Deep Azure platform engineering experience with IaC.
• Strong governance using Azure Policy (EPAC preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of Private Networking in Azure.
• Experience designing automated deployment pipelines using Git workflows (GitHub/GitLab).
• Hands-on provisioning of core compute workloads, especially Windows Server.
• Scripting & orchestration for resilient platform architectures.
• Proactive client mindset to identify bottlenecks and propose solutions.
• Foundational understanding of Microsoft Entra ID and Intune.
• Customer-first attitude; ability to work in small and large teams.
• Azure focus with AZ-305/AZ-400; multi-cloud exposure a plus.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange, or on-premises infra is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability for managed services across Azure, AWS and GCP.
• Automate repetitive tasks and incident triage to reduce on-call toil.
• Collaborate with infrastructure experts to evolve detection and resolution using AI/automation.
• Provide architectural governance for secure, reliable cloud solutions.
• Help expand the managed services patterns across cloud and database domains.
• Shape AI-driven tooling to accelerate reliability work for clients.
• Build relationships with client technologists to align on feasible solutions.
• Contribute to internal optimisation backlog to improve efficiency.
