Job summary

Mantel is an Australian-owned IT Professional Services consultancy delivering AI-enabled cloud solutions. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will own reliability for our managed services across Azure, AWS, and GCP, automating repetitive tasks and shaping incident response with AI.

You will collaborate with infrastructure experts to evolve detection, governance, and secure, scalable cloud platforms for diverse clients, while participating in a flexible hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Deep experience building, operating, and scaling enterprise Azure environments.
• Strong experience with Azure Policy and Enterprise Policy as Code preferred.
• Understanding of Private Networking in Azure and automated deployments.
• Proven ability to design and maintain automated deployment pipelines (GitHub/GitLab).
• Hands-on provisioning of core compute workloads in Windows Server.
• Scripting and orchestration to build resilient, scalable platforms.
• Proactive client mindset; identify bottlenecks and propose practical solutions.
• Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and Intune.
• Customer-first attitude; capable of working in small or large teams.
• AZ-305/AZ-400 focus; multi-cloud exposure (AWS/GCP) is a plus.
• Awareness of AI advancements and AI-driven tooling for reliability.
• Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft 365, AD/Exchange is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own reliability for managed services across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Participate in structured on-call rotation with automated triage via runbooks.
• Automate repetitive diagnostics and speed incident response.
• Collaborate to evolve detection and resolution using AI and automation.
• Provide architectural governance to ensure secure, reliable cloud solutions.
• Contribute to expanding managed services as cloud, data, and software mature.
• Shape use of AI/automation to accelerate reliability for clients.
• Build relationships with client technologists and communicate possibilities.
