Western Kids Health in Perth seeks a Senior Paediatric Speech Pathologist to lead a complex paediatric caseload across Feeding/ARFID, Early Intervention and School Aged Services. The role integrates joint appointments with dietetics, OT and psychology within a true MDT setting.
You will supervise, mentor and contribute to clinical pathways while building feeding skills in a supportive, family‑centred clinic. A 4+ year paediatric background and ARFID/feeding experience are valued.
Senior paediatric speech pathology with real range: early intervention and school aged services, inside a true MDT, with our Feeding clinic.
Western Kids Health, Shenton Park and Hillarys, Perth WA. Permanent, part time or full time, minimum 0.6FTE. Start Jan-Feb 2027.
We are looking for a senior speech pathologist who wants true MDT work in a state of the art clinic and making a community impact. Part of this role sits in our Feeding and ARFID clinic, so feeding has to interest you but you dont have experience, and we will train and supervise you to work in it. The remainder of your caseload is early intervention and school aged services, with supervision and mentoring of our newer speech pathologists, in the same room as OT, psychology, physio and dietetics.
Our speech pathology team works across Early Intervention and School Aged Services, from babies and toddlers through to school aged children and young people, alongside OT, psychology, physiotherapy and dietetics. Feeding sits within speech pathology at WKH, and our Feeding and ARFID clinic works closely with dietetics, OT and psychology.
This role is part feeding alongside your early intervention and school aged caseload. An interest in feeding is essential. Existing feeding skills are welcome, and if you are newer to feeding we provide the training, supervision and professional development, internal and external, to build them.
As a Senior Speech Pathologist you also supervise and mentor less experienced speech pathologists and students, contribute to our clinical pathways and protocols, and support the Speech Pathology Discipline Lead with clinical governance and team development. You report to the Speech Pathology Discipline Lead and work across both clinics.
The clinical target is an average of five billable hours per clinical day. Non billable time is built into every day for supervision, documentation, planning and team meetings.
Western Kids Health is a multidisciplinary paediatric allied health practice in Perth, founded in 2018. Our physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, psychologists and dietitians work side by side across two clinics, Victoria House in Shenton Park and our Hillarys clinic, supporting children and families from the early years through to adolescence.
Our services are organised into clinics: Early Intervention, Mental Health, Gender Diversity, Feeding and ARFID, School Aged Services and Complex Care. Within each, our team works as a true MDT, including joint appointments where clinicians from different disciplines see a child and family together in the same session.
Our model of care is family centred, strengths based and attachment informed, within a family systems framework. We see parents as the experts in their own child and we work alongside them. The same approach shapes how we lead our team.
Beyond the clinic room, our team runs group programs, delivers professional development on emotional regulation and mental health for schools and other services, and provides outreach. Western Kids Health works closely with not-for-profits including Tiny Sparks WA, Arthritis & Osteoporosis WA and PlaygroupWA, and holds a Commonwealth contract for allied health outreach to the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.
