Job summary

Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is seeking a Senior Speech Pathologist for the Community Health Care service at Lawson Community Health Centre. The role focuses on high-quality assessment, intervention and care coordination across community settings.

You will lead the Speech Pathology service, supervise junior staff, and provide specialist clinical advice to multidisciplinary teams, driving governance, quality improvement and service development within NBMLHD.

Qualifications

• Degree in Speech Pathology and eligibility for practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
• Demonstrated high level clinical expertise in assessment and management of communication disorders.
• Experience in dysphagia management, especially in aged care.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality assessment, intervention and care coordination to clients.
• Lead governance and supervision of junior staff and provide clinical advice.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan care and pathways.
