Job summary

Far West Local Health District invites applications for a 12-month maternity locum as Senior Generalist Speech Pathologist based at Broken Hill Health Service. You will lead a small team, deliver services across acute, subacute, outpatient and community settings, and may use outreach or Telehealth to reach clients.

The role requires transitioning to Level 3 with opportunities to advance within a rural/remote context and to participate in quality improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Senior Generalist Speech Pathologist with capacity to transition to Level 3
• Experience in acute adult dysphagia and paediatric feeding
• Experience delivering services via outreach or Telehealth
• Ability to support junior clinicians and contribute to quality improvement

Responsibilities

• Provide senior clinical oversight and interventions for the Speech Pathology team based in Broken Hill Health Service.
• Provide assessment and treatment to adult and paediatric Speech Pathology Services in a multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver services across acute, subacute, outpatient and community settings; outreach/telehealth may be required.
