Job summary

Airwallex is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer in Sydney with 3 days in the office. You will own technical pre-sales for enterprise engagements, turning requirements into actionable designs and orchestrating cross-functional teams across APAC.

You’ll build trusted partnerships, map integration blueprints, and guide customers from pre-sales to go-live, ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years in technical pre-sales delivering multi-stakeholder tech or financial services implementations.
• 8+ years of client-facing delivery in SaaS/fintech or consulting.
• Proven track record of delivering cross-functional projects with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, ability to influence decisions.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor on high-value implementations and expansions, shaping integration approaches and design.
• Partner with implementation and account teams to translate requirements into scalable architectures.
• Work with sales on technical discovery to map data flows and API/connector integration.
• Troubleshoot integration hurdles and guide customers through complex configuration decisions.
• Create and maintain internal docs, playbooks, and lightweight tooling for scale.
• Channel customer pain points to Product/Engineering to influence roadmap.
