Job summary

The Victorian Department of Health is seeking a Principal Developer to lead the design and governance of technology platforms within the Communities and Families Portfolio. You will assess platforms, define interaction between applications, databases and middleware, and translate business requirements into robust architecture for reporting and delivery across government programs.

Strong ITIL/PRINCE2/Agile experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• A relevant IT degree or qualification is advantageous.
• ITIL certification highly desirable.
• PRINCE2 or other project management certification desirable.
• Agile project experience advantageous.
• Extensive experience as a Solution Architect in government or large organisations.

Responsibilities

• Assess technology platforms and design application and reporting architecture.
• Define interactions between application packages, databases and middleware systems.
• Lead development initiatives within the Communities and Families Portfolio.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure architecture aligns with business requirements and governance.
