Job summary

Bridgit is seeking a Solution Architect in Sydney to shape how our core lending platform, broker and aggregator integrations, and AI capabilities fit together. You’ll translate business needs into scalable designs, lead architecture decisions, and drive secure, observable systems across the product and engineering teams.

You will own the target architecture, collaborate with AI and engineering teams, and ensure delivery aligns with Bridgit’s regulatory obligations and risk framework.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering with 3+ years in solution/enterprise architecture.
• Experience designing distributed cloud-based systems on AWS.
• Strong API design, integration patterns and event-driven architecture.
• Understanding of security, privacy and resilience in regulated environments.
• Exposure to AI/LLM-enabled systems and governance considerations.
• Clear communicator able to simplify complex ideas for executives.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into scalable, secure solution designs.
• Own target-state and reference architecture across loan origination and related channels.
• Design API-led and event-driven integrations with partners and brokers.
• Collaborate with AI team to align ATLAS and AI capabilities with core systems.
• Evaluate vendors, balance speed, cost, risk, and maintainability.
• Embed security and data privacy into all designs per regulatory obligations.
• Lead design reviews and coach engineers on best practices.
• Plan delivery with product leads, sizing and sequencing work.
• Design for performance, resilience, observability and cost.
