Job summary

Universal Store is seeking a Senior Solutions Analyst to join our Technology team at the Eagle Farm office. You will drive discovery, design and implementation across ERP, POS, WMS, eCommerce, CRM and reporting—partnering with tech and business leaders to deliver tangible value.

You will own the requirements lifecycle, develop HL/LLD designs and mentor junior analysts, supporting a fast-paced, multi-site retail environment.

Qualifications

• Around 6+ years in Business/Systems/Solutions Analysis, at senior level.
• Experience owning end-to-end requirements lifecycle from discovery to implementation.
• Proven ability to create HL/LLD designs, specs, and process maps.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a Senior Solutions Analyst to join our Technology team at our Support Office in Eagle Farm. Reporting to the Enterprise Platforms Manager, you’ll work across the business to understand challenges, uncover opportunities and shape technology solutions that support the continued growth of our group.

This is a hands-on, influential role where you’ll take solutions from discovery and requirements through to design and implementation. Working across our enterprise technology landscape, you’ll bring together business needs, data and technical thinking to solve complex problems, challenge the status quo and deliver solutions that create genuine business value.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading discovery and requirements across the business, getting beneath the initial request to understand the real problem we’re trying to solve
• Turning complex business needs into clear requirements, process maps, data flows, user stories and practical solution designs
• Owning and contributing to High Level and Low Level Designs, considering the complete solution including integrations, data, security, performance and long-term supportability
• Diving deep into complex, cross-system challenges, using data and structured analysis to uncover root causes and recommend the right way forward
• Evaluating solution options and clearly communicating the commercial benefits, trade-offs and risks so stakeholders can make confident decisions
• Reviewing and challenging solution designs from internal teams, vendors and implementation partners to ensure they meet our requirements and technology standards
• Working across our enterprise technology landscape, including ERP, POS, WMS, eCommerce, CRM, cloud, integration and reporting environments
• Partnering with stakeholders across Technology and the wider business to navigate competing priorities and keep solutions moving forward
• Supporting testing and implementation to ensure what we deliver solves the problem it was designed to solve and delivers the intended business benefit
• Mentoring other analysts, sharing your expertise and helping us continue to lift the standard of analysis and solution design across our Technology team

About You

You're an experienced analyst who enjoys operating at the intersection of business, technology and problem solving. You're comfortable moving between a conversation with a business leader, a deep dive into data and processes, and a technical discussion with an engineer or implementation partner.

You’ll bring:

• Around 6+ years' experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis or Solutions Analysis, including experience operating at a senior level and delivering complex, cross-functional change
• Strong experience owning the requirements lifecycle from discovery through to detailed documentation, solution design, testing and implementation
• Demonstrated experience creating High Level and Low Level Designs, functional specifications, process models and data flows for enterprise systems
• A strong understanding of enterprise systems and how they connect, including APIs, integrations, data flows and master data concepts
• Confidence working with SQL and data to investigate problems, validate assumptions and make evidence-based recommendations
• Strong analytical instincts and a genuine enjoyment of getting into the detail to solve complex or ambiguous problems
• Excellent stakeholder skills, with the c onfidence to facilitate conversations, constructively challenge thinking and influence both technical and non-technical audiences
• The ability to assess different solution options and balance business value, technical complexity, risk and long-term supportability
• Experience working with vendors and implementation partners, including reviewing and challenging solution designs
• Exposure to retail, eCommerce, wholesale or another fast-paced, multi-site consumer business would be highly regarded
• Familiarity with platforms such as ERP, POS, WMS, eCommerce and CRM, alongside reporting tools such as Power BI, would be advantageous
• A collaborative, accountable approach and the confidence to take ownership, work autonomously and bring others along on the journey
