Job summary

GoSourcing partners with a frontline Federal Government client in Australia to recruit a Senior Software Engineer (EL1) who will lead software teams and deliver complex development solutions. The role requires technical leadership, design, coding, testing, and documentation in line with development and security standards.

Qualifications

• Senior Software Engineer (EL1 equivalent) with ability to lead software development projects and provide technical leadership.
• Experience designing, creating, testing and documenting software systems and applications to meet development and security standards.
• Ability to lead delivery, oversee planning, development, construction activities, and resolve complex issues in development and production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and create software and technical designs for highly complex development solutions.
• Develop strategy to ensure high quality code and long-term maintenance of code base.
• Provide specialist technical advice on software development and maintenance.
• Lead release management, go-live production support and ongoing maintenance.
• Lead analysis, design, development, prototyping, testing and maintenance activities.
• Review requirements and propose solutions to support project evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with endorsed development methodologies.
• Engage and manage stakeholder relationships and partner with other agencies.
